Crowdtap's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell Party

I had the chance to host the Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell party thanks to Crowdtap. Since his comedy is made for adults only, I gathered 10 friends in my house, and everyone found babysitters for the little ones. We had a great TV night with popcorn and other snacks as we enjoyed W. Kamau Bell's comedy.

The party was dedicated to watching W. Kamau Bell's new comedy show "Totally Biased" on FX. His comedy may not fit everyone's taste, but the guests at our party enjoyed it. We watched the premiere night episode and plan on watching more. I think the guests were impressed with the level of comedy and will continue watching too.

Here is a video from FX about the show:

The party setup was simple because the focus was on the show. We had everyone gather around the big TV and watch the show. I made a lot of popcorn and had different toppings. We also ordered several pizzas and made sure to have a variety of drinks ready. Before the show started, we discussed our favorite comedians and comedies. Not many people had heard of W. Kamau Bell, so I gave them some background information. We watched the show, discussed it after it ended and spent the rest of the evening making sure the pizza boxes were empty before everyone went home.

Bausch + Lomb Meet-Up!

I had the chance to host a Bausch + Lomb Meet-Up thanks to SheSpeaks. It was a fun way to escape the current heat wave in a nice clubhouse and learn more about new contact lenses.

Of course, weeks of planning and work could not prevent some glitches from happening. In the madness of getting everyone ready for the party, I left my phone at home, and two of my friends were late. The heat wave has made temperatures above 100 degrees a daily obstacle, so organizing this party felt like a small miracle. Today's high of 108 degrees Fahrenheit didn't help. Our ice melted on the way to the clubhouse. Now, add a couple of sick kids, the need to find babysitters and Shannon canceling at the last minute to the mix. No Shannon meant no homemade carrot cake or her karaoke machine. This was after we spent four hours coming up with songs related to glasses and eyes for the play list. The doctor who was supposed to give a presentation at the party also never made it because she got lost and having left my phone at home she had no way to reach me. Still, we managed to pull together a fun event that has made all of us want to research Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses. We had 10 moms and 9 kids at the party.

I have worn glasses and contacts since childhood along with most of my family members. I have to admit that I still dread putting either one on in the morning, so learning about alternative contact lenses from Bausch + Lomb was useful. The Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses do not have to be cleaned. After hearing about this advantage, I instantly started calculating the savings of not having to buy contact lens solution.

Everyone at the party received the following drawstring bag, brochures and nice Biotrue bag.

I personalized the bags for each person.

All the bags got a nice ribbon bow.

Some of the brochures inside the bags.

The cute Biotrue bags that everyone received.

We made our own presentation with the help of the Bausch + Lomb website and patient materials. The website has a lot of great information on the Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses that I shared at the party. I recommend downloading the Patient Instruction Booklet and Package Insert to learn more about these great lenses. I also found several informative YouTube videos about the Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses and  featured them at the party. Here is one of them:

The benefits of using Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses are easy to notice. They only cost $1 a day, they don't have to be cleaned, and you can just throw them away at the end of the day. The High Definition Optics intrigued several people at the party, so I am sure they will be asking about Bausch + Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses. We played games, talked about our own eye history and had some delicious snacks.

At our party, we focused on having fun with Woolite Trivia questions provided by Crowdtap:

The main event of the party was the denim fashion show. We borrowed a red carpet from a friend:

Being part of the Old Navy Style Council is one of the benefits of joining Crowdtap. The Old Navy Swimwear Shopping Party gave me and a friend the chance to buy one free swimsuit. The selection at Old Navy was wonderful. They had bikinis, tankinis and one pieces in every color. Here are the party pics:

We also focused on circus food with lots of popcorn, hot dogs and cotton candy for everyone to enjoy! Pin the tail on Gloria was a popular game that even attracted the adults. The face paint was another popular item at the party!

We had to include some rainbow wigs in honor of Marty and had rainbow cake!
